We understand that improving your smile can have quite an impact on your appearance and therefore your confidence about how you present yourself to the world.
Teeth can darken with age and change shape due to wear and tear. Your “make over” could be as simple as whitening your teeth, smoothing some rough edges or changing some old discoloured fillings. Sometimes subtly changing the shape of one or two teeth can make all the difference. We will give you advice on how you can change your smile, everyone is different and there is often more than one option that we can give you. We are happy to also work within your budget.
If you need to go further then your options include composite veneers, porcelain veneers, porcelain crowns and composite bridges.
There are two types of veneers:
Composite or plastic veneers are completed in one appointment and require very little or no adjustment to the tooth. Composite produces very good colour and characterisation the teeth. They are also very easy to adjust and repair if necessary and they don’t wear down the opposing teeth.
Porcelain veneers are completed in two appointments as they are made by a technician in a dental laboratory. These veneers are thin, custom-made porcelain laminates that are bonded directly to the teeth. They do require some preparation of the tooth.
Crowns cover the whole tooth like a hat. We use crowns when there is little tooth structure remaining. These can change the colour of teeth very well.
